Christmas

Wow, Christmas 2011 is almost here. Time sure does go by quickly. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love Christmas music, the lights, hot drinks on a cool evening, candles glowing, time with family and friends, it is such a wonderful time of year. But the best thing about Christmas is that Jesus came to earth for us. He was born that night in Bethlehem in a humble stable. Besides Mary and Joseph the shepherds were the first to hear about and see him. The shepherds were not highly thought of, as far as the world was concerned, but to God the shepherds were very important and he loved them very much. God sent Jesus for ALL people. He loves us so much. Jesus came as a baby but he came to die, basically he was born to die. He died so that we can live forever with him one day. There is not a thing we can do to earn His love or earn Heaven we only have to put our trust in Him for He has already done everything for us. He has forgiven us of ALL our sins, past, present, and future, we only have to ask His forgiveness. Jesus gave all for us I hope that the first thing we think of when we think of Christmas is that it is Jesus' birthday.....He truly is the reason and the ONLY reason for the season.
