Leave Behind
Our neighbor in Kentucky was only 43 years old, but on Saturday, November 19th, he died. His death was accidental and I am sure that morning he did not even think that this would be the last day of his life here on earth. It doesn't seem real that he is gone and as I looked over at his house on Thanksgiving day everything looked the same, it seemed like he should still be there, but he wasn't he was gone. It was sad to see this, knowing we will never again see him outside walking around or working in his yard. But it also makes me think when we are gone everything we own will still be just as we left it. The only thing that really matters is who we put our trust in. Jesus is the only way to Heaven and our only assurance of a life in Heaven after we die. Actually if we are trusting in Jesus we will not die, we will only close our eyes here to open them up in Heaven where our faith will have sight and we will see Jesus, the one who died for us and now lives for us, helping us each day. Jesus loves us so much and wants us to trust him. He has given us his life, will we chose Him and give Him our life? It is up to us. The only thing we can take with us when we die is our friends and family, everything else will be left behind.
