Where Are You?

Where are you? I hear that quite frequently when I call my family, lol. Since Ed is at this time on TDY in Huntsvile, AL I have been here, there, and yonder. Ed went to Huntsville the beginning of Janurary from GA. I stayed in KY after Christmas to help Matt, Hannah, and Isaiah with their move to Texarkana, AR. That was a LONG trip and a very quick trip. We left on a Saturday evening, five hours later we arrived in West Memphis, AR and spent the night at a hotel......just a note, don't ever stay in West Memphis, AR, let's just say I prayed a lot that night! More praying than sleeping, I am pretty sure. We got up the next morning and headed out for another five hours, we were at Matt and Hannah's apartment. Unloaded the truck and unloaded most of the boxes, went to bed and got up Monday morning and left for a ten hour trip back home. Luke drove, Ashley Bennett was with us....so thankful for her help. We got home Monday evening and the rest of the week I spent with Luke getting the house rearranged for just him. Needless to say the house looks pretty bare, not much on the walls and not a lot of furniture but just right for Luke. After the week with Luke in Flaherty, I went to Lawerenceburg....and stayed with Matthew and Cari and watched baby Mason for a week. I think Ed came and got me from KY and we went to AL. Then the following weekend we went to GA to get our mail that had been on hold for a month. Well I was in AL with Ed the month of February, except President's Day weekend we made our way back to KY for Isaiah's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is two already. I was so glad to see Matt, Hannah, and Isaiah, they came to KY to celebrate Isaiah's birthday, thank you so much, that was a long trip! He didn't forget his Maw Maw.....I sure did miss that little man. After that weekend we went back to AL, then a couple weeks later we went back to GA, to once again pick up our mail, which was again on hold. We can only hold our mail for a month at a time so that is why we have to make trips back to GA. Actually though I enjoy going to our townhouse and I never thought I would say that. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice townhouse and GA isn't a bad place to live but I really miss being close to the kids BUT in Alabama we have an old furnished apartment provided to us by the Army and after using their dishes and trying to bake and cook (which I really like to do) with their pans and utensils it is SO nice to go "home" where I have my own stuff. My chairs and couch are much more comfortable too : ). Now on to the month of March. The first week in March I went to Maryland to visit my family and help my mom and dad out. It was a good week. I got a lot done and enjoyed seeing everyone and spending time with them. Then back to Alabama for a week. After a week back in Alabama, Luke and his girlfriend, Jackie came to visit us for the weekend and I went back to KY with them to spend a week with Luke and work around our home there, cutting the grass, spraying weeds, etc. it was another good week. This week I am still in KY but now I am at Matthew, Cari, and Mason's, watching Mason and trying to help them out some. I am so enjoying my time with Mason. He is so precious. I love his hugs and kisses and his smile melts my heart. Friday Matthew, Cari, Mason, and me are going to Alabama, they are staying for the weekend and I will be once again in Alabama with Ed. I am very thankful for this time I have had to spend with my family. I am so thankful for wonderful parents and brothers and their spouses and children. I am so thankful for our wonderful children and their spouses, I am very proud of them. I am so thankful for our grandsons, if I knew that being a maw maw was so much fun I would have had my grandchildren first, LOL. So anyway now you know why my family always ask me when I talk to them "where are you?" But I am very happy for that question because it means that I have the opportunity to spend time with my family and for that I praise God who blessed me with a wonderful family and the time to spend with them. Now to plan the next trip.....meet Matt, Hannah, and Isaiah halfway between GA and Texarkana and Hannah and Isaiah can come back to GA with us for a week or two.....Mississippi...here I come (that is about the half way point). Oh....I also need to plan a trip to Pennsylvania to visit my sweet grandma who will be 89 in August....and can still shovel her own driveway when it snows. She is an amazing woman. So where am I? Most likely somewhere with family and thanking God for the ability to be able to spend time with them.
