Fun Time with Family!
I have been thinking "girl, you sure haven't blogged lately", then I was putting pictures I had taken over Christmas on the computer and thought, "hey blog about the fun we had with the kids over Christmas" and yes, I do talk to myself and even answer myself *smile* So anyway here is an overview of our Christmas:
We stayed at our townhouse for Christmas Day. Christmas was on a Tuesday this year so the best thing for us to do was to choose either the weekend before Christmas or the weekend after to go to KY to celebrate with the kids. Our orginal plans were to go to a cabin in Pigeon Forge the weekend following Christmas, we would all meet there and enjoy Christmas together. But God had other plans, we tried to reserve a cabin but everything was filled up or the cabin was way up the mountain and we were afraid to reserve it because we were uncertain of the weather so that didn't happen but God already knew that. I got a call from Luke about a week or so before Christmas and he asked "did you reserve a cabin?" I told him "no, we weren't able to get one." He was so glad, come to find out he had to work the Saturday after Christmas, he would not have been able to join us in Pigeon Forge so I am so thankful God had our back and we did not reserve a cabin.
Hannah and Isaiah were with us for Christmas this year since Matt is in Afghanistan working. Having a little one around for Christmas always makes Christmas a lot of fun. We decorated sugar cones to look like Christmas trees, made a gingerbread house, and decorated sugar cookies!
On Friday after Christmas we headed to KY to celebrate Christmas with Matthew, Cari, Mason, Luke, and Jackie. We were also able to spend Sunday with Jack and Pat. We had a great time and God even blessed us with a pretty snow that the grandsons, Isaiah and Mason, were able to get out and have some fun. Hannah and Isaiah made snow cream, which was enjoyed by both Mason and Isaiah, YUMMY! I can't say that I enjoy it as much as them but I sure enjoyed watching them enjoy it.
Fun with "Great" and Great PapPa:
The boys had lots of fun with their Uncle Luke:
And I had a great time taking pictures of the boys playing together:
We had a great time together. I am so thankful that God allowed us to have this time together. We need to treasure each moment we can spend together, we never know what tomorrow will bring so enjoy each moment that God gives you with your loved ones and give Him thanks for each day.
